History

Lander & Rogers first began in November 1938 when Hartwell George Lander commenced practice in Melbourne's Broken Hill Chambers. Mr Lander shared the premises with a university friend, Glyde Rogers, who in 1946 became a partner. The firm Lander & Rogers was born in that year.

Lander had a remarkable career, spanning more than forty years. He was active on numerous committees, held many company directorships and honorary positions and was President of the Law Institute of Victoria from 1967-1968. His energy and enthusiasm were the key driving forces behind the steady and continued growth of the firm.

In the early 1980's, Lander & Rogers diversified from a predominantly insurance based practice and now boasts leading expertise and experience in all areas of corporate and commercial law, commercial disputes, family law, workplace relations and property. We continue to retain a reputation as one of Australia's foremost insurance firms.
