Alex has extensive commercial litigation experience, including construction disputes, public liability actions, personal injury matters, medical negligence, motor accident cases and partnership disputes.

Alex has also provided clients such as City Freeholds Pty Ltd, Elizabeth Tower Pty Ltd and the Tom Breuer Group with representation and advice in relation to commercial property work and property litigation including property enforcement action.

Alex also has extensive experience in recovery work for large companies such as Woolworths Ltd, Coles Supermarkets (Australia) Pty Ltd, Boral Limited, The Fairfax Group and Deutsche Bank, and in developing recovery systems, precedents, protocol and reporting documents and billing procedures used in recovery work.

Alex also has considerable experience in insolvency, such as acting for and advising creditors, debtors and insolvency professionals on matters arising out of liquidations, administrations, receiverships and bankruptcies.

Alex has provided complex advices to clients such as NRMA regarding the process undertaken by City of Sydney Council in relation to cycle lanes, Liquorland as to termination of an agreement for lease with a company where receivers are appointed, Malaysia Airlines regarding a claim by a tenant relating to a rent free incentive and also several advices to Fossil in relation to various imported products and their compliance with Australian standards and the relevant Commonwealth and State legislation.

Alex is a native Spanish speaker and has experience in preparing documents for use in Spanish jurisdictions such as Argentina, Chile and Spain.
