Personal interests

David has almost 30 years of Corporate Advisory experience focussing on mergers and acquisitions, major infrastructure projects and procurement advice. He has advised extensively in road and rail transport, mining, health and water projects for private sector and government stakeholders.

David has detailed knowledge of mining legislation and of the legislative and contractual framework governing the Victorian rail system. 

David's areas of expertise include: 

  • extensive mergers and acquisitions experience across a broad range of industries;
  • advice to State government on significant government acquisitions, projects and initiatives;
  • advice to various industry stakeholders in relation to rail infrastructure projects, significant rolling stock procurement and rail franchising to private operators;
  • extensive experience regarding joint venture, project and acquisitions of mining operations throughout Australia;
  • advice in relation to road transport projects and acquisitions and water projects;
  • advice regarding PPP and other privately financed government related procurement projects; and
  • privatisation of public hospital business and health industry advice and documentation.

David was admitted to practice in 1982 and joined Lander & Rogers in 2011.

  • Former National Chairman and former State President of the Australian Mining and Petroleum Lawyers Association Limited (AMPLA)
