David is one of the national heads of our WorkCover group in Melbourne.  Since 1991, David has practised in all personal injury jurisdictions in both New South Wales and Victoria and has represented employers and insurers in defending WorkCover claims in both states. He has a wide client base, acting for self insurers, defendants in industrial, motor vehicle accident and public liability common law actions, and product liability and professional indemnity insurers.

David has worked with insurance scheme regulators to develop and implement policy. He regularly presents legislation and case law update seminars to insurer clients and their insureds. He also initiated and developed the firm’s insurance litigation practice in Sydney.

David's areas of expertise include:

• catastrophic personal injury claims;
• fraudulent insurance claims;
• recovery actions on behalf of insurers against joint tortfeasers; and
• common law actions commenced in the Dust Diseases Tribunal of New South Wales.

David was admitted to practice in 1991, joined Lander & Rogers as a senior associate in 1996 and became a partner of the firm in 1998.
