Gavin has acted for clients in a range of jurisdictions including the High Court of Australia, the Federal Court of Australia, and the Supreme Courts of Western Australia, Victoria and New South Wales. 

He has particular expertise with respect to insolvency related disputes and has advised clients in relation to issues including insolvent trading, admission of proofs of debt, conduct of creditors' meetings, claims against directors, and the conduct of forensic investigations (including associated legal proceedings). 

Gavin's focus in any commercial dispute is to at all times remain highly responsive to, and focused on, his client's commercial objectives and to achieve those objectives as time and cost effectively as possible.

Gavin's areas of expertise include:

• insolvency related disputes;
• contractual disputes;
• Competition and Consumer Act (formerly the Trade Practices Act) matters (including claims for misleading or deceptive conduct);
• equitable and trust issues;
• lease disputes;
• securities (including ranking); and
• corporations law matters (including disclosure obligations and director's duties).

Gavin was admitted to practice in 2003 and joined Landers in 2009.
