Personal interests

Rebecca has extensive experience in a variety of insurance claims with a focus on liability and professional indemnity matters.  She has represented insurers and insureds in all jurisdictions in New South Wales and the ACT. 

Rebecca has defended claims involving owners and occupiers, psychologists, construction companies, public authorities, councils, property managers, accountants, large scale corporations and small businesses.  She has expertise in large property damage claims and matters involving plaintiffs with nervous shock, psychiatric illness and catastrophic injuries.

Rebecca also has many years experience in products liability matters and has represented manufacturers, suppliers and importers of goods both in proceedings issued in Australia and internationally. She has an in-depth knowledge of Trade Practices legislation and tort reform.

Rebecca's areas of expertise include:

  • litigated and non-litigated liability matters;
  • policy coverage advice;
  • litigated indemnity disputes;
  • catastrophic injuries and psychiatric illness;
  • property damage claims;
  • professional indemnity; and
  • recovery and subrogated matters.

Rebecca was admitted to practice in 1997 and joined Lander & Rogers in 2005.
