Simon has extensive experience in general insurance and employers' liability in both Victoria and Tasmania. Between 1995 and 1998, Simon was the partner in residence at Lander & Rogers' office in Launceston, where his work largely comprised acting for liability and workers compensation insurers for companies and individuals based in northern and north western Tasmania.

Simon's areas of expertise include:

• public liability;
• product liability;
• defending recovery actions brought pursuant to the Accident Compensation Act and the Transport Accident Act; and
• general insurance law.

Simon was admitted to practice in 1976 and joined Lander & Rogers in 1985.
