Lander & Rogers' partner Aaron Goonrey, from our Workplace Relations & Safety group, is leading a series of workshops across Australia in partnership with Employment Law Matters titled "Dealing with Workplace Bullying, Harassment, and Victimisation".

In this interactive workshop series, Aaron will discuss the legal obligations and definitions of bullying, harassment, and victimisation, and will use several case studies and scenarios to allow attendees to better understand the individual responsibilities of management and employees. Most importantly, these workshops will cover the different approaches to minimising bullying, harassment, and victimisation claims.

Aaron will take delegates through discussions regarding:

  • managing difficult workplace scenarios and employees;
  • the options available to resolve workplace conflict;
  • best practice ways to respond to inappropriate and/or unacceptable behaviours;
  • dealing with employee complaints of bullying, harassment, and discrimination; and
  • how to conduct investigations.

Speaking about the workshops, Aaron said, "These sessions will be beneficial for people managers, HR professionals, and any other stakeholders who deal with claims of bullying, harassment, and victimisation. It will also be a good refresher for anyone who has knowledge about these areas but wants to keep current with any changes to the law and best practice".

The sessions will be held in October in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Perth.

You can register to attend one of the sessions by visiting the Employment Law Matters website — www.wkby.employmentlawmatters.com.au
