Lander & Rogers is one of the founding signatories to the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission (VEOHRC) and CommBar's initiative to target inequitable representation of Victorian women barristers in commercial litigation.

Leading law firms and commercial organisations have signed up to a three year commitment to a Gender Equitable Briefing Target based on both the number and value of briefs.

Commercial Disputes Partner, Johnathan Quilty, said, "This is a fantastic initiative from VEOHRC and CommBar and we are excited to be involved. Lander & Rogers is committed to promoting gender equity, not just within our firm, but across the legal profession.

"Becoming a signatory to the Charter of Commitment provides a forum for us and other litigation firms to demonstrate that we have appropriate gender equitable briefing policies and practices in place for commercial litigation work. It's also a great opportunity for us all to review our briefing practices more broadly, to ensure that we brief female barristers equitably for other areas as well, not simply in relation to commercial litigation."
