Professional biography

Jessica is a family lawyer with a calm and practical approach that helps minimise stress for her clients. She has great insight to the workings and determinations of the Federal Circuit Court of Australia and Family Court of Australia through previous experience working with a family law judge.

Jessica completed her studies at the University of New South Wales and London School of Economics. She was admitted to practise as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in June 2017. Prior to joining Lander & Rogers, Jessica gained an intimate understanding of judicial processes and decision-making in her Deputy Associate role at the Federal Circuit Court of Australia.

She has a deep understanding of high-conflict parenting, alteration of property interests, spousal maintenance, relocation, recovery and jurisdictional matters.
Jessica is a member of the NSW Young Lawyers Family Law Committee. Her experience also includes work as a paralegal in a specialist family law firm; work in a domestic violence service and internship at the Women’s Legal Service. She was recognised as law student of the year in Lawyers Weekly 'Women in Law Awards' (2016).

Jessica's experience includes:

  • participating in the development of the specialised Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Families List in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia
  • taking part in a team at Women's Legal Service NSW who created Australia’s first comprehensive national domestic violence services database via a mobile website.

  • Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice - College of Law, Sydney
