Special Counsel

Belinda Miller is a Special Counsel in the Workplace Relations & Safety team, with a reputation for navigating sensitive and complex employment law issues with clarity and strategic insight. With a background that spans private practice, government, trade union and community legal sectors, she brings a unique perspective to her work, particularly in the public sector and discrimination space. Belinda is known for her thoughtful and pragmatic approach and is often trusted with matters involving high legal, reputational or organisational risk.

Christian is an experienced industrial relations and employment advisor and litigator. He acts for employers in the private and public sectors in a broad range of industries including emergency services, education, retail and energy & resources. Christian is known for his strategic and commercial approach to risk-mitigation and his practicality in respect of dispute resolution.

Colleen is an insurance litigation specialist with class action expertise. She is also specially skilled in recoveries and manages a national portfolio of recovery claims for many of the firm's insurer clients.

Chief Executive Partner

Daniel is the firm's Chief Executive Partner, having formerly led the firm’s national Workplace Relations & Safety team for almost a decade. He has as practised in all areas of industrial relations and employment law for more than twenty years.

Derek leads our firm's international practice, driving our strategy to be the independent Australian firm of choice in our key overseas markets: US, UK, Japan, China, Singapore and Malaysia. He also co-ordinates our five commercial groups to ensure they remain constantly client focussed and working collaboratively as a seamless commercial offering for both Australian and international clients.

With over a decade of experience, Emma's practice covers all aspects of workplace relations and employment law, with a particular focus on discrimination, human rights, disputes, investigations and training.

Gregg is an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer with a particular expertise in mergers and acquisitions. Gregg provides corporate and commercial legal advice to many leading corporates, funds and family offices.

Helen is a highly experienced litigator with deep expertise in administrative and public law, regulatory matters, inquiries, freedom of information, privacy law and judicial and merits review. She has advised and represented a broad range of agencies in both Commonwealth and State government, including leading major investigations and inquiries. She has also advised private corporate entities and directors on regulatory compliance issues and enforcement investigations, particularly in relation to corporations law, the AML/CTF scheme and privacy obligations.

James acts for both private and public sector clients in commercial real estate, property development, energy transmission projects, and major infrastructure projects. His clients include state and federal government agencies and departments, local councils, listed and unlisted property funds, energy asset owners, retailers, developers, data centre operators, infrastructure owners, and insolvency professionals.

Jared is an Australian and UK qualified corporate lawyer with nearly 20 years' experience advising leading Australian and international clients across their entire lifecycle, from establishing businesses to complex corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, joint ventures, financings and restructures. Jared has a particular expertise in cross-border transactions acting for international acquirers, especially out of the US, UK and Singapore.

Jennifer is widely regarded as an outstanding employment lawyer and a leader in her field. Clients seek her out for her strategic experience in resolving complex employment and industrial relations matters. An accredited employment and industrial relations specialist, she is known for partnering closely with clients and offering tailored advice that empowers them to navigate difficult workplace challenges with confidence and compliance.

John is a partner with 40 years' experience in the areas of accident compensation, employers' liability and personal injuries litigation, with a particular focus on dust diseases, acting for WorkSafe Victoria, insurers & employers in all jurisdictions.

Partner & Practice Group Leader

Johnathan leads Lander & Rogers' Commercial Disputes group. He is an accredited commercial litigation specialist with corporations law expertise. Johnathan is a trusted adviser for many of the firm's national and international corporate clients as well as several SME's. He has a commercial and strategic approach to all litigation and disputes.

Jonathon is a contentious insolvency and restructuring partner based in Sydney, having previously practiced in London. Jonathon specialises in complex, cross-border and contentious insolvency, restructuring and commercial disputes. He is a trusted adviser to a range of domestic and international clients including leading financial institutions, insolvency practitioners, corporates and directors on a wide variety of contentious and non-contentious matters.

Kaitlyn is a leading workplace relations lawyer who is sought after by clients for her technical expertise and commercial advice on all aspects of the employment relationship and defence of legal proceedings. She is regularly instructed by private and public sector employers to assist in complex industrial, discrimination and general employment matters. Clients appreciate her ability to apply her deep knowledge of the law in this area to achieve excellent commercial outcomes.

Kate James is a Senior Associate in the Workplace Relations & Safety team, known for her technical legal analysis and clear communication. Kate provides strategic and practical advice on a diverse range of employment issues, with a particular focus on resolving complex and sensitive matters in the public sector.

Kelly specialises in the management of multi-million-dollar complex litigated insurance matters including catastrophic personal injury, institutional sexual abuse claims, royal commissions, class actions, coronial investigations and inquests.

Louise is a recognised expert in government procurement and commercial law, with particular expertise in care services and technology projects. Louise has over a decade experience in providing strategic procurement and commercial advice to both public and private organisations, with a focus on the Commonwealth government.
