Lander & Rogers has a long-term commitment to the wellbeing of its people and is focused on enabling them to bring their best selves to work, both personally and professionally. We see mental health as integral to a happy and productive workplace and we will continue to update our wellbeing programs to support our people.

Since 2018, our firm has focused on resilience — a crucial skill for coping with life's inevitable obstacles — and partnered with The Resilience Project to launch a program that would support our people.

The holistic program has included inspiring presentations, a bespoke digital series, a new Wellness Portal, access to resilience journals, and regular engaging communications.

The impact of the program within our firm has been outstanding. The Resilience Project founder, Hugh van Cuylenburg, has presented a number sessions with our firm and over 80% of our people have taken part.

We felt it was important to share the powerful resilience principles more broadly — to date, over 200 clients, and 300 of our family, friends and community partners have also taken part in the live sessions.

Senior leaders who have attended these presentations, have shared their own success stories as part of our engagement communications and started their own team initiatives based on the resilience principles.

We are incredibly proud of the recognition that we have received for the program and the important commitment that we have made to our people and our wider community. We were named winners of both the:

  • 2019 Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards for Wellness Initiative of the Year
  • 2019 Australasian Law Awards for Excellence in Employee Health & Wellbeing

We are very grateful to have The Resilience Project as our partner and truly appreciate their contribution to this success.
