Dara is an accredited family law specialist. She assists clients to resolve their family law matters in a way that suits the particular needs of their families. She focuses on assisting clients to achieve excellent outcomes while ensuring they understand and are empowered in the process along the way.


Dara commenced practicing as a family lawyer in Canberra. Now based in Melbourne, since 2014, she has clients throughout Australia.

Dara has vast experience in handling complex property matters, including claims involving third parties as well as company and trust structures. She has previously practiced as an estate planning lawyer and she has a unique skill set in handling family law matters which intersect with wills and estates.

Dara has extensive experience in advocacy, international family law matters and complex litigation including first instance litigation and appeals.

In addition to Dara's experience as a family lawyer, she has also worked in the Human Rights/Protection area with Oxfam Australia in the Solomon Islands and worked with a defence team in the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda in Tanzania.

  • successfully defending an appeal to the Full Court of Australia in relation to the rectification of a financial agreement (published under the pseudonym Graham & Squibb)
  • successfully resolving complex financial matters with multiple parties via mediated outcomes
