His secondment at a leading Australian property investment fund has sharpened his commercial acumen, helping him to deliver a results-oriented service.

John's career highlights include acting:

  • in relation to the development of numerous residential and mixed-use apartment projects across New South Wales, more recently at Darling Harbour, Barangaroo, and various locations around Sydney
  • on the acquisition of $115 million dollar business centre located in North Ryde by Quintessential Equity, including title and leasing due diligence, contract negotiations and settlement
  • on the disposal of 589-bay Quay West Car Park leasehold by Mirvac, including review and advising on various sublease and option to lease agreements
  • for Lendlease on a land swap agreement for key land required to deliver a 300 residential lot subdivision and additional commercial lots, as well as negotiating associated development agreements with adjacent land owners
  • for Argus Property Partners and property fund manager Kaipara Property Group in the acquisition and development of a large format retail complex in Bathurst, as well as the disposal of the complex to a private consortium for $31.5 million
  • for a private developer on the acquisition of mixed-use residential building (consisting of 39 lots) from multiple owners, which included advice on structure of acquisition, strategy for engagement with lot owners and tenants, advice on strata renewal process and preparation, lodgement and obtaining approval from Owner’s Corporation for strata renewal proposal and strata renewal plan
  • for Aspen Group on acquisition of various retirement villages in NSW, including property and planning due diligence and review of retirement village contracts.
