Killian is an experienced defendant insurance lawyer specialising in personal injury and public liability claims. He has expertise in managing complex litigation involving workplace accidents, public liability claims and statutory compensation.

Experience

Killian's past experience includes work at a national insurance firm, where he managed litigated property damage claims on behalf of insurer clients, as well as work at one of the Victorian WorkCover Authority's (VWA) panel firms, where he defended common law damages claims and statutory benefits claims on behalf of the VWA, insurers and employers.

Killian advises and acts on behalf of insurers and insureds in respect of both pre-litigated and litigated claims. He provides advice on all aspects of liability and litigation strategy, as well as advocating, negotiating and appearing on behalf of clients.

  • acting and advocating on behalf of a pro bono client who had recently arrived in Australia from offshore detention, in order to secure appropriate residential accommodation through the Department of Health and Human Services
