Peter has extensive experience acting for public and private institutions on commercial property transactions and development projects. Peter's expertise extends to all aspects of property law and a wide-ranging clientele, including institutional landlords, major Australian retailers, supermarkets and banks, the Queensland Government (including a number of key Government Owned Corporations) and various Queensland Local Authorities.

In addition to supporting clients domestically, Peter spent six years working as a property lawyer in the United Kingdom, where he worked on several significant commercial real estate transactions and projects for industrial landlords, private equity firms and registered providers of affordable housing.

  • representing a major Queensland Government Owned Corporation (tasked with managing long-term investments for the State) with commercial leasing and related asset management across all Australian jurisdictions
  • conducting thorough and time sensitive property due diligence with respect to several corporate acquisitions for private investors and financing transactions for major Australian banks
  • advising a major Queensland regional local authority on property and procurement matters for an eco-industrial precinct focused on advanced manufacturing and emerging industries (including Green Hydrogen), including drafting and negotiating long-term tenure and infrastructure agreements
  • acting for a leading Australian retailer (household name) of home improvement products on redeveloping an existing asset in Queensland (which included complex tenure issues)
  • acting for a Queensland Government Department in acquiring a $200mil industrial site in central Brisbane designated as a major venue in the 2032 Brisbane Olympics
  • representing a major Australian Supermarket in disposing of surplus land to a private developer subject to satisfaction of development condition.
  • advising a Queensland Government Department to acquire an industrial site in Regional Queensland to construct a facility to trial rare-earth mineral production processes for commercialisation
