Thomas is a senior associate in Lander & Rogers' Insurance Law & Litigation group. He advises Australian insurers and insureds and London underwriters on indemnity, liability, quantum and litigation and ADR strategy.
In his time at Lander & Rogers, Thomas has been on secondment at several global insurers, an Australian claims handling third-party administrator and a leading Australian financial services company.

- acting in defence of a major Australian retail and supply chain conglomerate (ASX10) in various public/product liability matters in NSW and the ACT
- providing advice to a Hong Kong-based insurer for a claim for a British insured involving an allegedly defective treadmill manufactured in Taiwan, supplied to China and resulting in personal injury in Australia. In addition to the liability issues, there were also quantum and limitation period issues at play
- following the resolution of a claimant's personal injury claim in the NSW Supreme Court, arising from defective glassware purchased at a major Australian retailer, successfully obtaining an indemnity from a Chinese insurer of the Chinese manufacturer
- acting in defence of a textiles manufacturer in the NSW Supreme Court for a claim by workers involving labour hire arrangements, work health and safety obligations and s 151Z recovery
