Michelle leads our innovation team, iHub, and drives the firm's innovation strategy and agenda. She has also played an integral role in the establishment of Australia's first LawTech Hub.

Michelle joined Lander & Rogers in 2002, bringing to the firm a background in legal management, process engineering and systems innovation. She leads a multidisciplinary team of lawyers, digital designers, and business specialists who work with clients to solve real business problems.

Experience

Using new and emerging technologies, Michelle and her team create solutions for clients that save time, cut costs and provide the efficient and effective delivery of legal services. Michelle also has extensive experience in process transformation, using integrated platforms to drive automation and facilitate data-driven decisions and has experience in compliance, performance measurements and systems development.

Michelle's select experience includes:

  • Establishing the firm’s award-winning innovation function, iHub and developing a high performing, multi-disciplinary team of problem solvers and innovators.
  • Providing strategic guidance to an ASX 20 retail company including redesigning their claims panel, conducting an extensive review of internal system and processes, establishing a KPI’s system and implementing high-performance management practices.
  • Advising general counsel and senior leaders of a government agency on selection and implementation of technology solutions, system design and ecosystem support.
  • Launching Australia’s first LawTech Hub which brings together lawyers and entrepreneurs to design and build transformative legal technology. The established program has just welcomed its sixth cohort of legal tech startups and scaleups.
  • Overseeing an extensive business transformation and digitisation initiative – Project Paperlite. This initiative focused on the digitisation of business procedures and the standardisation of document management processes, which facilitated a seamless transition to a flexible work model.
