Rachael is a partner in the Compensation Law group and is the Statutory Benefits Group Head. Rachael deals closely with WorkSafe Victoria, self-insurers, claims agents and employers.
Rachael has experience in all aspects of litigation in worker's compensation matters, specialising in statutory entitlements. She provides advice to employers on liability under the *Accident Compensation Act, Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act and common law entitlements.
Rachael regularly appears in the Magistrates, County and Supreme Courts as well as attending country circuits such as Warrnambool and Wangaratta. Rachael also undertook a secondment in the Dispute Management Division of WorkSafe Victoria in 2004.
Her areas of expertise include:
- accident compensation litigation;
- changes to the Accident Compensation Act; and
- providing advice on new common law matters.
