A clear vision

“I was attracted to Lander & Rogers because of the firm’s culture and its reputation for delivering legal and business solutions that reflect a deep appreciation for client needs.” Natasha said this matched her vision to deliver a better law firm experience to clients in the construction space. “The firm fully embraced my vision and plan for strategic growth opportunities. It’s the firm’s belief in me that has enabled us to grow the practice from a team of two to a team of 15 in just five years.”

Growth and support

“The comprehensive program helped to equip me with the skills, knowledge and confidence required to successfully operate as a partner.”

Recounting her rise to partnership, Natasha reflects on her experience participating in Lander & Rogers’ leadership development program and the role it played in her personal and professional growth. “The comprehensive program helped to equip me with the skills, knowledge and confidence required to successfully operate as a partner. It covered important business training from financial and people management to marketing and business development — topics most lawyers aren’t exposed to every day.”

In 2022, Natasha also undertook the Australian Institute of Company Directors course, helping to look beyond the day-to-day operations of running a busy legal practice to assessing broader strategic challenges faced by her practice and the firm.

Pursuing passions

Natasha says that being a partner combines her strengths and passions related to construction law and in working with people. “I have a keen interest in architecture and design, and love that my day-to-day role involves the built environment, and the impact that has on people.”

Natasha’s role affords her the opportunity to work with a range of people and businesses in the building sector, combining her professional and personal interests.

“I love helping clients to solve complex business problems and leveraging my expertise to assist in resolving disputes.” According to Natasha, each situation is unique, but the mandate remains the same — “to deliver both commercially focused and practical solutions to client opportunities and challenges”.

Natasha’s drive to deliver an exceptional legal experience is only matched by her passion for creating a supportive team environment. “It’s critically important to me to help team members to learn, grow and develop whilst working on interesting, and at times challenging, matters alongside our clients to resolve problems.”
