Doyle's Guide 2024 names Lander & Rogers among Australia's top-tier family law practices

Peer-reviewed Doyle's Guide has ranked Australasia's largest family law practice, Lander & Rogers, as a first-tier firm nationally and among the top-tier firms on a state basis for the sixth consecutive year in the 2024 Australian Family & Divorce Law rankings. Nine of the firm's partners are also ranked as Leading Family & Divorce Lawyers on a state or national basis.

The national practice group leader of Australasia's largest family and relationship law practice, Collette McFawn, said: "Family law is a collaborative practice, and we are delighted to have the continued support and recognition of our peers and referrers."

Established in 2009, Doyle's Guide rankings are compiled through surveys with providers of legal services, who are required to rank their peers and fellow law firms on their level of expertise.

The 2024 lists of Leading Australian Family & Divorce law firms and lawyers showcases those practising in matrimonial, de facto, parenting, property, spousal maintenance, and child support matters who have been distinguished by their peers as specialists in these areas.

As the practice of family and relationship law becomes increasingly specialised and complex, according to Ms McFawn the rankings also allow consumers to "make informed choices and find the practitioner whose skills and experience best match the unique needs of their matter."

Founded in Melbourne in 1989, Lander & Rogers' family law practice has grown rapidly in recent years, establishing a permanent presence in Sydney in 2016 and in Brisbane in January 2020. As well as now being the largest family law practice of its kind in Australia, the group has a diverse service offering.

"Our team comprises 75 lawyers practising exclusively in family and relationship law and serving clients nationally and internationally. We have 30 accredited family law specialists, dedicated international family law practitioners, collaboratively trained practitioners, qualified mediators and arbitrators and two innovation managers. As we sit within a large commercial firm, we also draw on the expertise of our employment law, corporate and other commercial law colleagues, which means we can offer our clients truly holistic and specialised advice," added Ms McFawn.
