Lander & Rogers has advised Medibank on the acquisition of Home Support Services (HSS). HSS is one of Australia's leading national providers of in-home care, delivering more than 100,000 occasions of care every year to patients.
This is the second acquisition for Medibank in the in-home care sector and follows the acquisition of HealthStrong in 2017, in which Lander & Rogers also acted for Medibank. This is a strategic focus for Medibank as they continue to seek other opportunities in this sector to provide customers with greater choice and flexibility.
This deal involved a significant restructure of the Vendor group prior to completion, which brought with it several legal issues to work through and the negotiation of additional transaction documents.
Lander & Rogers provided a full service offering to Medibank throughout the life of this transaction. The firm provided legal advice on matters relating to due diligence, the transaction documents, and completion.
