She is recognised as a problem solver who understands her client's business objectives and delivers practical legal solutions. Anna is native in Chinese and can offer extra support in China related corporate matters.

Experience

Anna is qualified in both Australia and Hong Kong and has more than 12 years of solid experience in corporate and commercial transactions. She advises on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and general commercial matters for international clients.

Prior to working at Lander & Rogers, Anna was a Senior Legal Counsel at Tencent (one of the largest Chinese technology conglomerates) advising on group-level corporate transactions and spearheading the global expansion of various B2B and B2C businesses (in particular in payments and fintech areas). She also has extensive experience in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, listing rules compliance and corporate governance matters during her time with an international law firm predominantly in Hong Kong.

With the invaluable prior experience as an in-house counsel, Anna demonstrates strong commercial acumen through her practical legal advice to the stakeholders. She is also knowledgeable of the complex legal issues throughout the lifecycle of businesses from the initial set up, business launch, capital injection to exit.

  • advising Mitsui Europe on the sale of its canned foods distribution business in the UK and the Netherlands to a UK private equity firm
  • assisting Rollins, Inc., the global leader in pest control services, with multiple acquisitions of Australian pest control businesses
  • advising Alibaba on acquisitions of majority stakes in various Hong Kong-listed companies across healthcare and entertainment sectors
  • supporting China Media Capital in acquiring an indirect stake in Television Broadcasts Limited, a major Hong Kong broadcaster
  • advising on the spin-off listing of Tencent’s online reading business on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, which was the most profitable IPO of the year
