FAQs
What can I expect from my family lawyer?
Answer We guide our clients through every stage of their separation journey, right through to final resolution. With access to a trusted network of tax experts, financial advisors, psychologists, and counsellors, we ensure our clients have the right team supporting them throughout the process.
What is the difference between a divorce and a property settlement?
A property settlement outlines how a couple’s assets and liabilities are divided and can be documented through court orders or a financial agreement. A divorce order, on the other hand, is the legal document that officially ends a marriage. It's generally advisable to finalise your financial arrangements before applying for a divorce.
There are strict time limits for lodging both property and divorce applications, so contact Theresa to understand how these deadlines may apply to your situation.
Question How much time will my child spend with me?
When deciding on suitable care arrangements for children, a range of factors is considered, with the child's best interests always being the paramount consideration. Each situation is unique and assessed based on its specific circumstances. For advice tailored to your individual case, please contact Theresa.
