Pro Bono Counsel

Brian is a proud Kamilaroi man and an experienced social justice lawyer and Pro Bono Counsel with more than two decades’ experience across government, the community legal sector and public interest practice. He advises on strategic pro bono initiatives and access to justice matters, with a particular focus on First Nations peoples, older persons and culturally diverse communities.

Chris is a litigator specialising in regulatory, corporate and commercial litigation, commissions and inquiries, and administrative law proceedings.

Gavin is an insurance litigation specialist who is committed to delivering superior client service, both in terms of specialist coverage advice and effectively defending claims. Gavin's practical and commercial approach, together with his down to earth manner, mean he is a highly effective litigator and negotiator, but also easy to work with.

Helen is a highly experienced litigator with deep expertise in administrative and public law, regulatory matters, inquiries, freedom of information, privacy law and judicial and merits review. She has advised and represented a broad range of agencies in both Commonwealth and State government, including leading major investigations and inquiries. She has also advised private corporate entities and directors on regulatory compliance issues and enforcement investigations, particularly in relation to corporations law, the AML/CTF scheme and privacy obligations.

Johnathan leads Lander & Rogers' Commercial Disputes group. He is an accredited commercial litigation specialist with corporations law expertise. Johnathan is a trusted adviser for many of the firm's national and international corporate clients as well as several SME's. He has a commercial and strategic approach to all litigation and disputes.

Kate James is a Senior Associate in the Workplace Relations & Safety team, known for her technical legal analysis and clear communication. Kate provides strategic and practical advice on a diverse range of employment issues, with a particular focus on resolving complex and sensitive matters in the public sector.

Natale is a commercial litigation and dispute resolution specialist. He has a broad range of experience as a commercial litigator, advising and acting on behalf of clients on dispute avoidance, risk mitigation, and litigation. His clients range from individuals to small, medium and large corporate enterprises, including publicly listed entities.

Scott is an experienced commercial litigator specialising in defamation, intellectual property, sports law and regulatory matters.

Tom Jarvis is a senior litigator with over 35 years’ experience acting in corporate and commercial litigation, regulatory disputes, Corporations, markets, financial services and consumer credit law, competition, antitrust and administrative law. Tom is a trusted adviser to Government. He has effectively managed large and complex litigation, appearances before royal commissions and public inquiries on behalf of a wide variety of Government bodies, agencies and departments including ASIC, the ACCC, the National Competition Council, AUSTRAC and the eSafety Commissioner.
