Special Counsel

Alex specialises in all aspects of environment and planning law, with particular experience in acting for property developers, proponents of resources projects, and public authorities. Over the past 10 years Alex has developed an expertise in litigation in the Land and Environment Court in merit appeals, judicial review, pollution offences and compulsory acquisition proceedings.

Andrew is a partner in our national Real Estate and Projects Group, having established the real estate practice when he joined the firm in 1992. Andrew was the firm's Chief Executive Partner for nine years from 1999, leading and driving the firm's strategic direction and strengthening its culture, while leading the national team and practising as a real estate lawyer.

Ashleigh is an environment and planning lawyer based in Sydney with over 12 years' experience. Ashleigh's experience comprises both transactional and litigation work relating to a broad range of environment and planning matters. Ashleigh advises both private and Government clients (Commonwealth, State and Local) across planning issues, development approval pathways, compulsory acquisition and valuation of land matters, contamination, pollution, waste and regulatory issues.

Han is an experienced construction and major projects lawyer, having practised for over eight years in the industry. He has worked both in private practice and in-house at a tier 1 construction and development company, and has experience advising on a wide range of construction matters in different sectors.

Hoda is a strategic and commercial legal advisor with over 15 years of experience advising on complex infrastructure projects and transactions in Australia and globally. Before joining Lander & Rogers, Hoda worked in the Projects practices of Australian and US top-tier law firms in Australia and the UAE and as a senior legal counsel at Lend Lease Engineering.

James acts for both private and public sector clients in commercial real estate, property development, energy transmission projects, and major infrastructure projects. His clients include state and federal government agencies and departments, local councils, listed and unlisted property funds, energy asset owners, retailers, developers, data centre operators, infrastructure owners, and insolvency professionals.

Jessica has extensive experience across all Australian jurisdictions, advising institutional and corporate clients. Jessica works across a broad range of sectors, including office, commercial and retail and acts for both landlords and tenants.

Joanna is a senior environment and planning lawyer with significant experience in advising both State government and private clients in relation to environmental, planning, heritage, land acquisition and compensation law matters.

John is a Senior Associate in Lander & Rogers' Real Estate and Projects group. His expertise encompasses a wide range of property matters across different asset classes, with a strong emphasis on delivering legal support that is both practical and grounded in real-world application.

John works primarily for REITs, national retailers, private companies and offshore investors within the commercial office, industrial and retail sectors.

Her previous legal experience in Northern Ireland encompassed mostly general conveyancing and probate, civil claims and employment law.

Kate is an experienced commercial property lawyer with a background in both the Australian and UK markets. Kate has spent over 13 years assisting landlords, tenants, developers, investors, financiers, business operators and government entities with a wide variety of complex real estate matters.

Lee is a partner in the Real Estate & Projects group. She acts across industry sectors for vendors, purchasers, landlords, tenants and developers in a diverse range of matters.
