Andy is a financial lines insurance lawyer with over 15 years’ experience. He provides coverage advice and defends third-party claims for multinational insurers, underwriting agencies, Lloyd’s syndicates, coverholders and third-party claims administrators. Andy is also experienced in public and product liability, health and aviation law.

Partner & Practice Group Leader

David leads our corporate practice. David is a leading Australian corporate lawyer with over 30 years' experience in advising both Australian and international clients on a range of corporate and securities law matters including mergers and acquisitions (public and private), equity capital markets transactions (including IPOs and capital raisings), strategic structuring and foreign investment approvals. David has a particular expertise in cross-border capital markets transactions between Australia and the US.

David is a dual qualified (NSW and England & Wales) corporate lawyer with a strong track record advising on sophisticated corporate transactions, spanning equity capital markets, public and private M&A, and complex commercial arrangements in Australia and offshore.

Deanna is dedicated to servicing corporate clients with their strategic, M&A, governance and compliance needs. Clients appreciate her ability to get to the point, find common ground between parties and deliver a solution, a skill she honed during her years of experience leading an in-house legal team. Deanna also leads our Japan client group and works seamlessly with foreign investors navigating their acquisition and establishment activities in Australia.

Partner & Head of International

Derek leads our firm's international practice, driving our strategy to be the independent Australian firm of choice in our key overseas markets: US, UK, Japan, China, Singapore and Malaysia. He also co-ordinates our five commercial groups to ensure they remain constantly client focussed and working collaboratively as a seamless commercial offering for both Australian and international clients.

Jared is an Australian and UK qualified corporate lawyer with nearly 20 years' experience advising leading Australian and international clients across their entire lifecycle, from establishing businesses to complex corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, joint ventures, financings and restructures. Jared has a particular expertise in cross-border transactions acting for international acquirers, especially out of the US, UK and Singapore.

Lynden is a workplace relations specialist with over a decade of experience in a broad range of complex industrial relations, discrimination and general employment matters.

Nicola is a highly regarded specialist insurance Partner who has practised for more than 15 years in the area of personal injury and property liability.

Paul is an experienced M&A lawyer, who delivers corporate transactions of various sizes for a broad range of clients with execution excellence, whilst providing pragmatic legal solutions to appropriately manage risk.

Peggy has practised exclusively in superannuation and financial services for more than 20 years. She has particular experience with public offer superannuation funds and public sector superannuation funds, as well as successor fund transfers.

Scott is an experienced commercial litigator specialising in defamation, intellectual property, sports law and regulatory matters.

Special Counsel

Simon is a specialist sports lawyer with extensive experience in the sport, leisure and not-for-profit sectors. Simon advises a variety of the firm's sport and leisure clients, working closely with them to achieve positive outcomes. Simon lives and breathes sport and has a wealth of industry experience as a lawyer, administrator and athlete.
